Osborne  E-Venture Labe_ven_008.JPG

Fall 2008 marks the opening of our Osborne E-Venture Lab, equipped for a team of students to work together on an E-Commerce project. The lab has Adobe Creative Suite software, scanner, color printer, flat screen HD monitor, Nikon D40 camera, tripod, light box for macro photography and space for group collaboration. The Lab was built for ENTR 0203, E-Venture Management, but will be available to student teams in other courses as available.

ENTR 0203, E-Venture Management will teach you how to start a business on-line and how to manage the technological and managerial issues associated with e-commerce. You will join a team, research a market, select a product, write a marketing plan, and sell your product through an assigned company’s web site. You will utilize a genuine transaction-enabled business-to-consumer site, learn how such sites are managed, and explore how they can complement an existing business infrastructure. You will get hands-on experience implementing the technology to engage consumers, suppliers, payment gateways and other parties in electronic transactions.
